The Emergency LED bulb stays on in the event of a power outage or load shedding. The emergency bulb is a direct replacement for any standard bulb. It has a built-in battery that will automatically charge when the bulb is switched on. In the event of a power outage, the built-in intelligent light control automatically reduces the brightness of the bulb to 140lm to ensure that the battery lasts as long as possible, and gives you 6 hours of backup light that will last you through load-shedding.
Features
• The cheapest lighting load-shedding solution!

FAQs
Can the light be used with multiple fittings on the same switch?
- NO. If you have 3 different lights on the same switch, the lights will come on when you turn the switch off. They are thus not practical in this instance.
- The bulbs have to be used as a single unit per switch.
How does the lamp know the difference between light switch activation and load shedding?
- The light switch has to be ON, and the Grid Power (Eskom) has to be OFF. Then the bulb will light up. If you turn the switch OFF, the light will not come on.
- The internal emergency management IC will detect the voltage of L and N
- When the voltage of a single line is cut off (light switch activation), there are still neutral voltages so the lamp will not go into emergency mode.
What is the effect of the lamp switching if there is no other load on the switched circuit?
- The emergency lamp will activate in emergency mode only when the IC cannot detect any voltage in the input cable (power outage), and when a loop is present in the external circuit. The loop is created by other components on the same electrical circuit within the installation.
- In this scenario, the resistance between L and N is very small and the IC can detect this
What conditions make the bulb work during load shedding?
- When the IC cannot detect any voltage from the input cable (power outage)
- When a loop is present in the external circuitry. This loop is created by other components on the same electrical circuit within the installation. In this scenario, the resistance between L and N is very small and the IC can detect this.

Customer Reviews
Lekker little beside lamp light for when the power is out then it comes on white and nice. When eskom decides to work then it's a less white colour but not yellow so it works very well.
Bought brilliant loadshedding bulbs online. Excellent product and excellent service. Thank you 🙂
Works exactly as advertised. Great product, great supplier. Super fast service!
Fantastic product. I have had mine for a year now.
