The Baviaans Bicycle Light comes with a wireless remote! No need to move your hand off your handlebar to change modes while riding on technical terrain. Simply flick your thumb to change to Boost Mode. This is ideal when you're doing events like the Trans Baviaans, going down Bergplaas will be easier than ever.

The Trans Baviaans is one of South Africa’s premier mountain biking events, this mountain bike marathon creates the perfect combination of extremely challenging cycling through exquisite mountain ranges, right into the heart of the magnificent Baviaanskloof Wilderness Area. Mountings
- XP Quick-release bicycle light clamp fits light to any size round handlebars. Mounts securely within 3 seconds!
- The battery pack includes a soft Neoprene pouch which prevents vibration and scratching of the bicycle frame.
Modes
- Two button control.
- Fast click to turn on the light (on/off button). 3-second hold to switch off the light.
- The light comes on in Low mode, so you will not lose your night vision when you switch it on.
- Use the left-hand side button to click up or down to your needed mode.
- Boost Mode - double click right-hand side button to activate boost mode.
- The Pulse function cannot be selected accidentally, you need to double click the right-hand side button again after boost mode was activated to switch to pulse mode.
Battery Indicator
-The Baviaans Bicycle Light now comes with an upgraded battery indicator system. Its intensity was designed not to be a visual distraction during use.

Hi, Will the extension cable work on the Baviaans 5200mah light?
Yes the extension cable is compatible to all our cycle lights.

How do I pair the remote with the light ?There are no instructions on how to pair them.
You can hold in the minus button on the back of the Baviaans for up to 15 seconds until the lower battery indicator light starts going green orange and red.
Then press any of the two remote buttons and it should pair. -
Hi. My wife will be doing the Trans bavians. I am interested in two lights. I want to know how long the standard battery will last on normal and high beam. Regards Arno
Hi Arno, With the standard battery you will get about 35 hours on the lowest setting and then about 8 hours on the mid setting. If you take the 6800mah battery you will get 40 hours on the lowest setting and then 10-12 on the mid setting.

On the Baviaans:
The runtimes on the 10200 will be as follows. High - 4 hours Medium 18 - 20 hours Low - 45-50 hours. -
what does the light and batteries(5200/6800/10200) weigh ?
With the 4 cell batterys (5200mAh and 6800mAh) it will weigh around 420g.
The battery and the light head unit weighs 540g with the 10200mah battery. -

The Baviaans light with a 4 cell battery (5200mAh and 6800mAh) will weigh about 444g, and if used with a 6 cell battery (10200mAh) the setup will weigh 561g.

Hi. What's the difference between the Baviaans and Endurance+ Bicycle Light?
Both lights come fitted with a quick release clamp and include a battery pack and a charger. The main difference is the brightness. The Endurance+ produces up to 2100 lumens on it's brightest setting, while the Baviaans light produces up to 3600 lumens on the boost setting. The other difference is the battery choice. With the Endurance+ you only have the option of the 5200mAh battery, where as with the Baviaans light you can choose between 5200mAh, 6800mAh and 10200mAh batteries to better suit the run times you need for your rides. One last difference is that the Baviaans light comes with a handlebar switch to control the brightness of the light, where the Endurance+ only uses the button on the light to control the brightness.

Would this light be suited for road cycling?
The Baviaans light is the best light for any kind of cycling that would require a light. It's really bright at a max setting of 3100 lumen and a boost setting of 3600 lumen, and with it's easy to use remote handlebar switch, you can focus on your ride and the terrain, instead of having to lift one of your hands off the bar to work the light.
